THE ROLE

He will be responsible for developing and implementing a health and safety programs across the organization. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, fosters a culture of safety, and mitigates risks to protect employees and company assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Corporate H&S Director will report directly to the COO, to ensure the compliance and the development of the health and safety culture across the organization.
More specifically:
- Develop and execute a corporate health and safety strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and standards across all locations in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Work closely with management heads in every facility to integrate safety practices into daily operations and culture.
- Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness for various scenarios.
- Prepare and present health and safety reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Stay informed of industry trends, safety technologies, and best practices to continually enhance safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other health and safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of program management methodologies and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
OTHER INFORMATION
The Health and Safety Director will primarily work in an office setting but may require site visits to various locations. Occasional travel may be necessary in Canada and the United States.
