THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our US HR team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of HR and support a variety of HR functions, including compliance with multi-state regulations, employee relations, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of multi-state employment laws, experience supporting senior HR leadership, and familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly Dayforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The HR Generalist will be a partner with the Director of HR to implement, develop and support HR strategies, policies, and programs across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

More specifically:

  • Analyze HR data to provide actionable insights.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees, ensuring timely and accurate handling of issues related to benefits, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Assist with the management of employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
  • Supports HR Projects and initiatives, organize employee sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Support key initiatives such as learning, employee engagement and talent review.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, especially regarding multi-state employment laws.
  • Utilize Dayforce or other HRIS to maintain employee data and ensure accurate processing of benefits and other HR functions.
  • Assist with performance management processes within HRIS to include evaluations and goal-setting.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of HR policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs, including the processing of timesheets, salary changes, deductions, and taxes.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, laws, and best practices, particularly those related to multi-state employment regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with hands-on experience supporting senior HR leadership, particularly a Director of HR.
  • Background in industries with complex employee benefits or regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in multi-state compliance, including a solid understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Proficient in using HRIS systems, with Dayforce experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration and recruitment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-location organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

OTHER INFORMATION

The HR Generalist will primarily work in an office setting but may require site visits to various locations around the United Sates.
