Your Challenge

  • Read plans, diagrams and schematics to determine how to proceed
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors and furnaces, according to blueprints and using hand and power tools
  • Using machine tools, namely lathes and grinders, fabricate parts required for the overhaul, maintenance or setup of machinery
  • Operate lifting equipment, such as traveling cranes, to install machines and parts during the installation, setup and repair of machinery
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect faults and failures
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Clean, lubricate and maintain industrial machines including industrial piping and forklifts
  • Assemble machinery and equipment using manual and power tools and welding equipment before installing them

Your Qualifications

  • Vocational school diploma in industrial mechanics (college diploma in mechanical engineering or industrial maintenance considered an asset)
  • Experience in industrial mechanics considered an asset
  • Experience in machining considered an asset
  • Familiar with various types of machines, parts, lifts and accessories being used
  • Owning of the tools of the trade
  • Basic knowledge of paper manufacturing and conversion processes considered an asset
  • Respectful of individuals, the organization, health and safety in the workplace, authority and the team
  • Cooperative, available, good judgment, autonomous, takes initiatives, methodical, orderly and versatile

  • Starting date: as soon as possible
  • Must be available to work on rotating shifts
  • Salary : $36.65/hour
