THE ROLE
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on VP of Marketing & Product Management to oversee the development, positioning, and growth of our fiber and paper product lines. In this high-impact role, the successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and product strategies, leading go-to-market planning, and elevating brand visibility within key market segments. Specific emphasis will be on providing high-level guidance to business development teams to maximize sales and profit growth. Critical competencies include being results oriented and accountability focused, hands-on visible leadership, agility, 3-dimensional thinking, ability to simplify the complex, and adeptness in dealing with ambiguity and complexity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Marketing & Product Management will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), to lead a team and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Sustainability and R&D teams to ensure market-fit, innovation, and sustainability leadership in the industry.
More specifically:
- With robust market research and analysis use data-driven insights to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that meet customers’ needs and create a competitive advantage for Sustana
- Lead and create compelling and inspiring branding, messaging, and marketing communications that promote the company’s circularity leadership and sustainability initiatives.
- Support sales enablement with market insights, tools, and collateral
- Lead digital marketing and thought leadership efforts aligned with ESG and market share growth goals
- Monitor and react to changing market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer needs
- Work with Procurement on understanding raw material market drivers and changes in costs; provide feedback to Procurement on data and intelligence gathered from Sales and customers
- Translate customer and market insights into product enhancements and innovations
- Collaborate with operations and R&D teams to guide new product development
- Define KPIs and track performance of product lines against market and financial targets
- Manage product life cycle from its launch to retirement
- Work closety with Sales, SIOP and Finance to manage product mix within existing portfolio to maximize profitability
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
- 10+ years of combined experience in B2B marketing and product management with demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing and product strategies that drive growth, brand recognition and sustainability
- Industry background in pulp, paper, fiber, packaging, or a related manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of sustainable materials, ESG drivers, and customer requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence without direct authority
- Proficiency in marketing tools, data analysis, and product portfolio management
OTHER INFORMATION
The Head of Marketing & Product Management must be willing to travel as needed to support customer engagement, product launches, site visits, and industry events
